 Abstract

Effective control and regulation of parking areas is one of the important aspects of managing campus facilities. As the number of academic community members and private vehicles increases, the parking management system often causes problems. The use of Electronic Parking Terminals (EPT) has become one of the innovative solutions to address the challenges of parking management in the university environment. To ensure that the adoption of the Electronic Parking Terminal (TPE) proceeds as expected, an evaluation of technology acceptance from all parties is necessary to understand users' attitudes, intentions, and behaviors towards the TPE solution. This research aims to identify the main factors influencing the acceptance of this technology using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. This study involves the variables Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Attitude Toward Using (AT), Behavioral Intention to Use (BI), and Actual Use (AU). Data were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires involving 95 active respondents. The analysis results indicate that the perception of ease of use plays an important role in shaping the perception of usefulness and user attitudes towards TPE. User attitudes and behavioral intentions have been proven to have a significant impact on the actual adoption of this system. This study shows that ease of use and perceived benefits are the main factors shaping positive attitudes and intentions of users in using TPE in the university environment. This research can serve as a foundation for higher education institutions in improving the effectiveness of parking system management.

Sebelum melanjutkan ke analisis utama menggunakan SmartPLS, dilakukan validasi awal kuesioner melalui Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). EFA bertujuan untuk memastikan bahwa setiap item dalam kuesioner dapat dikelompokkan dengan tepat ke dalam faktor yang sesuai berdasarkan model konseptual yang digunakan (Statistische Beratung Leonardo Miljko, n.d.). Prosedur validasi instrumen mencakup:

1.                   Uji Kelayakan Data (KMO dan Bartlett’s Test):

 

Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) digunakan untuk mengevaluasi kecukupan sampel, di mana nilai KMO ≥ 0.6 dianggap memadai. Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity digunakan untuk menguji signifikansi korelasi antar item (P-value ≤ 0.05).
